POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Regional Manager:
Area: Mwanza
Our client is looking for a talented individual to be its new East Africa Regional Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with multinational company in the region, and to facilitate progress towards the Network's goals of helping Groups to implement effective strategic campaigns, building capacity and strengthening relationships between Groups in the East Africa region.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, good written and spoken English and Swahili, and beable to travel. German would be an advantage.
PERSONAL QUALITIES REQUIRED:
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:
* Good written and spoken English.
* Experience of planning and implementing campaigns
* Excellent face to face and voice communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in multicultur
al environments. Enjoyment of creating and building relationships with others.
Specific experience of coalition-building, or working with diverse Groups to identify common purpose would be an advantage.
* Experience of using digital communication systems, with the ability to quickly learn how to use unfamiliar software.
A good understanding of online security protocols is desirable. Experience of using Apple Operating systems,
Drupal and WordPress would be an advantage
* Experience of providing training and support, or demonstrate the ability to quickly acquire these sk
ills.
* Good administrative and organising skills. A proven ability to set up and adhere to consistent, meth
odical work practices would be desirable. Experience of managing budgets would be an advantage.
* Self motivating, and willing to work alone and be managed from a distance.
* Flexibility about occasional anti-social hours.
* Possession of appropriate travel documentation, and willingness to travel would be a significant advantage.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
*Masters degree in Business administrations or related field
*Minimum of 5 years working experience
